Runner's Almanac was built by a runner who got tired of researching races across race websites, spreadsheets, Reddit threads, weather archives, elevation charts, and outdated marathon directories.
Picking a marathon is a big decision. You train for months, travel, spend real money, and get one shot at race day.
Runner's Almanac exists to put the information runners actually care about in one place and make choosing the next race a little easier.
The current dataset is a working draft of 99 US marathons. Field sizes, elevation and weather figures are being verified race by race, and every score you see is labelled as an estimate until it is backed by real historical data.
